Family Life Log

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does it cost to join?
A: Family Life Log is free! Our kind sponsors support it.

Q: Is it safe to enter my personal information?
A: Yes! Our system is securely encrypted and Certified by Trust Guard.

Q: What if I still don't feel comfortable entering sensitive information?
A: No problem! There are many areas sub-titled "nickname". Only you will know what the real name or title is! Then, add as much or as little as you feel comfortable adding. The point is to have a place to go to that either tells you where to look for the information: "House Title with tax records in blue box behind dad's workbench" or the actual information: "House secured with Title by First American, Policy #342135".

Q: Won't it take me a long time to enter all this information?
A: If you just start with today & go forward, noting changes as they occur, it'll just take a few minutes a month, at most! Then, on a rainy day, take some extra time to update other areas. Holidays are a great time to update records, while everyone is together and has free time. Ask grandma or grandpa where they keep important documents and enter the information in your log.

Q: Can I use the log to keep information for future employers on my work history?
A: Absolutely! This is a great place to store those addresses and phone numbers for your resume!

Q: Why would I want to save information on cars I no longer own?
A: Sometimes a title/lien issue will arise or a ticket will come in the mail for a car you no longer own. You will want a place to store the name, address and phone number of the person to whom you sold it, along with the VIN number, and date of sale.
